About

About

I’ve lived many creative lives. Growing up in Manila, I spent my childhood writing and drawing Cardcaptor Sakura fan comics. At 18, I moved to the U.S. to study at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), where I earned a BFA in Graphic Design with a minor in Art History.

I started my career managing freelance artists at Canva and have since worked with Silverlens Galleries, the RISD Media Group, the RISD Museum, and NextPay. After years of collaborating with copywriters, I decided to string some words together—and something clicked.

Now, I write about art, design, and identity as a contributor for Lifestyle Inquirer and Art+ Magazine. My writing was shortlisted at the Ateneo Art Awards 2023. I tell stories that shape conversations around culture and identity.

I love exploring gender and Asian identity through elegant and concise prose. My writing has been published in Lifestyle Inquirer, Scout Magazine, Preen.ph, Art+ Magazine, and Cartellino. I also write web copy for clients in the creative and cultural industry.

Being a writer is my life's biggest plot twist.

Before writing, I was a graphic designer. I held design roles at Canva, Silverlens Galleries, RISD Marketing & Communications, and NextPay. I graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design with a BFA in Graphic Design and a minor in Art History.

I'm currently looking for opportunities in feature writing and UX/web writing.
